Scope of the Congress
The 32nd International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV32) will be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 5 to 10 July 2026. The congress serves as a global platform for advancing knowledge and innovation in acoustics and vibration with the aim of bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry to exchange novel research findings, discuss emerging methods, and explore applications that address both longstanding challenges and future directions in the field.
Aligned with this years theme “Acoustics from Heritage Sites to Future Cities,” the congress seeks to highlight how acoustics and vibration research connect historical environments, present-day challenges, and future technological developments. This includes understanding historical acoustic environments and preserving sonic heritage, addressing current acoustic challenges in engineering, architectural, urban, and environmental contexts, and exploring future-oriented technologies such as novel materials, digitalization in acoustics, AI-driven analysis, advanced measurements, and innovative design strategies.
An exhibition area will bring together leading companies, allowing participants to discover the latest technologies, instruments, software, and practical solutions in the field. The congress program will also include satellite events, notably the Acoustics and Vibrations Academy (AVA), offering advanced courses, hands-on workshops, and training in current and emerging approaches. Additional program elements will introduce participants to Istanbul’s unique acoustic identity through soundwalks as well as cultural experiences. During ICSV32, participants will have the chance to explore not only the latest developments in acoustics, but also the city’s rich soundscape, vibrant culture, cuisine, art, and daily life.
All peer-reviewed and accepted full papers will be published in the congress proceedings, which will be indexed in Scopus.
